The first part of the book discusses the preparation for the walk including a one hundred mile trek along the length of the Ridgeway. The rest of the book is broken down into sections relating to each part of the walk and provides details on my personal experiences day by day. The walk includes sections on Land's End to Bath, Bath to Manchester via Offa's Dyke, Manchester to Edinburgh via the Pennine Way, Edinburgh to Fort William via the West Highland Way and Fort William to John o' Groats via the Great Glen Way. I have provided some tips and suggestions along the way for anybody following in my footsteps. It should prove invaluable to anybody considering a similar walk or looking for feedback on what to expect from such an adventure.
